Merino and tencel
When acid dyes are used to dye a blend of merino and tencel, only merino is dyed and tencel remains undyed. This provides beautiful effect as tencel add shimmer to the yarn. It does mean that same recipe will look slightly lighter on merino/tencel base, especially if intense colors are used.
